The practice is purposely designed to be as relaxing as possible with many wood veneers and interesting features. Its decoration uses pine, mahogany, beech, spruce, pitch pine, afromosia, ramin and iroko.
Superb original oil and watercolour paintings hang by driftwood, green plants, simple wall colours and cork, blending with the easy-going manner of the dental team.
The heating system warms the air, filters out pollen and dust, recycling it and mixing with fresh air to give a field-like atmosphere.
Smoking is not permitted. Nor are clinical posters, dental or otherwise. That 'dentists smell' isn't there - the use of oil of cloves which produces the smell is kept to an absolute minimum. The suction system in the surgeries takes the sucked air out of the building altogether through the roof. The dental team - they're not dressed in clinical white. And Arbroath is a delightful sea-fresh place.
Our intention is that our patients, as much as possible, enjoy their visit to the practice and that we can add a little laughter to their lives.
